Hi, I'm Melissa.
I’m a graphic designer, wellness advocate, and athlete based in Brooklyn. I’m passionate about helping women of color create more thoughtful, beautiful lives through design, self-care, and fitness.
While I was in school for graphic design, I developed an interest in health policy which led me to work at organizations including the Children’s Defense Fund, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and the Women’s Equality Center fighting for access to health care.
My passion for wellness became personal a few years ago when I discovered self-care as a tool to cope with depression. It empowered me to take small actions to combat the negative feelings on a daily basis and I want to share my journey—with a mixture of grit and vulnerability—to give other people the tools that worked for me.
